Hi I'm Shondra

I am a Domestic Enginer, school volunteer, waitress, a mother of 3 and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I love surfing the internet for cooking blogs, finding a great recipe that my family thinks I created, and reading cookbooks like they are novels. I have always had a passion for cooking and baking. My life long dream is to go to Culinary Arts school a become a Pastry Chef. I enjoy cooking, there's just something about seeing family members getting so excited to try what you have made. The joy I get when they say, '"oh my gosh that was so good, I need seconds." My family is the most important treasure to me, so I strive everyday to be a great wife and mom.

Why I am a Mormon

I've been a member all my life, but when I turned 18 years old I wanted to see how the "other people" lived. I wanted to experience what I thought would be exciting, only to cause heart-ache to my family and myself. I found myself doing all the things I was taught not to do. I thought I was having the time of my life, I was living like there was no tomorrow. I was out of control until I found myself 6 months pregnant and away from home. After my daughter was born, I had a feeling to move back home and go back to church. This thought kept coming to my mind, "Don't you want your daughter to grow up in the church like you did?" "Don't you want her to know she is a child of God?" I went back to church after being inactive for 10 years, and now I have a family that belongs to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Being a Mormon is exciting enough for me!

How I live my faith

There is a quote by Bishop H. David Burton that I like to live by..."Live in such a way that people who know you but don't know Christ will want to know Christ because they know you." What better way to show the world that we are all sons and daughters of our Heavenly Father who loves each one of us by having the qualities of the Savior.
