Hi I'm Lorrie

I'm a wife, mother and grandmother. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have been married for 30 years. I have 5 grown children and 4 grandchildren. I feel blessed to have the church in my life. It has given me guidance and direction in raising my children. It helps me in my daily life. I love my family and really enjoy spending time with them. I enjoy several activities such as: hiking, bicycling, taking walks, tennis, swimming, snow shoeing and cross country skiing. I also enjoy music and singing choirs. My husband and I have spent many years supporting our kids in their school activities by going to sporting events and musical concerts.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents are Mormon so I was raised in a Mormon family. As I grew up, I was taught the gospel and lived it. I choose to continue to be a Mormon because I know the gospel is true. The teachings and direction the gospel gives me in my life has helped me in my marriage and raising my children. We have a prophet to guide and direct us. We can have a personal realtionship with our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ through prayer and inspiration. I know I am loved and I know my Father has great interest in me. I am grateful for the gospel in my life!

How I live my faith

As a member of the church, I have had several opportunities to serve in many positions and help several people. I have served the children in the church by teaching them and organizing fun activities for them. I have also worked with young women in helping them to make righteous goals. We help them through their teenage years to look for that which is uplifting and praiseworthy. We also plan great activities with them so they can know how to have good clean fun. Right now, I serve the women in our congregation. The women organization in the church is the largest women's organization in the world. It is world wide. The goal is to provide service to those who need service. We also provide an avenue for the women to grow and learn and increase their capacity to be good women, mothers, wifes, grandmothers, and citizens in their communities. I have enjoyed serving others in the church and the opportunity to serve has helped me to grow and learn. I have also made new friends with others. It has been a blessing.
