Hi I'm Aimee

I'm a Military wife and a domestic engineer (aka mom). I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a stay-at-home mom of three great, crazy boys and the wife of a Military Doctor. I was born in Canada and moved around a lot growing up. I became a naturalized citizen in 2005. Moving around a lot helped prepare me in becoming a Military wife. In medical school I worked as a Dental Assistant, which I loved, to help bring in a little extra money. I currently serve on a Military Spouse Support Board as the Social Chair. It keeps me busy and I love being around other military spouses who know what I am going through. I love learning how to do new things like cake decorating and photography. I've played the piano since I was a little girl. I also love to travel, I'm always up for a great vacation.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church, but at a young age knew that the standards of the church were the way I wanted to live my life. It always seemed easy for me. When I was 16 I did a service project helping the sister missionaries visit those who were interested in learning more about the gospel. I loved the way I felt when I was around the missionaries and seeing the change in people as they chose to learn more about the gospel. In turn when I was 21 I served a mission. My knowledge and love for the gospel grew as I served the people of Seattle. Now as a mother teaching my children about the gospel of Jesus Christ it is confirmed to me throughout he Holy Ghost that what I am teaching them is true. I know that His gospel in on the earth today and that we have a Prophet to lead and guide us. I know that the Book of Mormon is true and that by reading both the Bible and The Book of Mormon we can know how the Savior wants us to live our lives. Even though life isn't perfect or easy, I know that by living the gospel it makes it a little easier.

How I live my faith

There are many opportunities to serve in the church. In the past I served on an activities committee, which I loved planning activities for others to enjoy. I also just finished serving as a Seminary teacher...teaching youth in a bible study class. I loved being able to get into the scriptures, studying them, and then helping the youth understand them. I currently serve as the Ward Choir Pianist. I am enjoying it because I am getting back into a talent I love doing, but haven't been able to be serious about it since I got married.
