Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because living the gospel fills my heart with hope. I never really questioned the truthfulness of the church growing up. When I was leaving on my mission to the California San Diego mission I began to really read and ponder and pray about Joseph Smith and the Book of Mormon. As I really read and prayed and listened a began to be filled with an over whelming peace that the Church is the restored church of Christ upon the earth. That the Book of Mormon is another testament of Jesus Christ and that Joseph Smith is the Prophet of the restoration. As I served my mission I was challenged to read the Story of Joseph Smith everyday for a month. As I did so, the overwhelming peace of the Spirit reaffirmed that Joseph Smith indeed saw God the Father and Jesus Christ and that he was called to be a prophet as Moses, Abraham, Isaiah, Enoch, Samuel and the others of the Bible.

How I live my faith

I am a Sunday School teacher for the Adults. I have been teaching Sunday School now for 4 years. We have learned the Old and New testaments as well as the Book of Mormon and the Doctrines and Covenants. We read the scriptures together with our family. We like to watch good movies that make is smile and laugh.

What are some things that tell you there is a God?

Everything in the world tells me that there is a God. How everything in the world relates to everything around it. How the sun makes the plants green which provide oxygen so that we can live and we in turn provide carbon dioxide so that they can live. How there is a perfect order to everything around us. That there is a time and a season for all things. Everything from the simplest organism to the complexities of the Human Brain, tell us that there is a God. The immense vastness of space.
