Hi I'm Nathan

I'm a CPA, a tennis player, a piano player, and a tuba player. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a husband and the father of two kids. I am a graduate of Highland High School and Arizona State University. I currently work as a CPA in the corporate accounting department of a Fortune 500 company and the controller for a non-profit charitable organization. One of my current endeavors is to become educated on the principles underlying the divinely-inspired founding of the United States and its Constitution.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I believe with everything in me that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is in fact the restored church of Jesus Christ, and that Christ Himself stands at the head of it and directs it through His prophets. I believe that God the Father and Jesus Christ restored the true Church and the Priesthood authority through the prophet Joseph Smith. I’m a Mormon because I have read the Book of Mormon and I believe that it is true. I’m a Mormon because I have felt the indescribable joy that comes from the cleansing power of the Atonement of Jesus Christ, a blessing that I have been blessed to enjoy in full by entering into baptismal covenants and renewing them regularly. I’m a Mormon because through the Priesthood sealing power restored through Joseph Smith, I can be sealed to my family for all eternity if I keep the covenants that I have made.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by striving to accomplish the most important goal in my life, which is to be considered by Jesus Christ at the end of my life to have been one of His loyal disciples. I work to accomplish that goal primarily by trying my hardest to be a righteous husband and father within my own home. I also love finding ways to give service to my fellow men. I served a full-time mission in the Argentina Buenos Aires South Mission. It was a wonderful experience to see and help others gain a testimony of the truthfulness of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I have had the opportunity to teach Sunday School lessons to several classes of children ages 1-12 in my local congregation. I currently serve as the financial clerk in my congregation. It is a very humbling experience every week when I get to process the generous, selfless donations from fellow members of my church who are so willing to sacrifice their hard-earned money to help those in need and to build the Kingdom of God.
