Hi I'm Rachel

I'm a mother of five boys. I'm a teacher. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a very busy woman. My favorite part of life is my family. Everything else I do at this time in my life is centered in this. I have five boys and a fabulous husband. I have been working to help my husband achieve his goal of changing his career. It has been a very hard journey that has often felt impossible but miracles have been abundant through our journey. I have had angels assisting us through this process. Many of these angels we have seen and others have ministered us to in secret. I struggle on a daily basis to balance all I am trying to achieve. I pray each day for guidance from the Holy Spirit to help me know what is most important to accomplish in my day and to assist me. I teach preschool and love my students. I love watching them learn. I have 22 piano students and love to see their talent develop. I love to exercise, especially when I do it with friends. I love to read to learn. I currently am trying to learn how to be a better teacher to my own children. I have a baby that takes half my time, 4 more boys that take the other half and then work, a home, a husband, extended family, friends, laundry and my spiritual development to juggle with this.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born to parents of great faith. My parents read scriptures to me and taught me values found in the scriptures. My parents shared there beliefs and testimony with me through the way they lived their lives and daily teaching. I felt in my heart the truthfulness of what they taught me. At the age of 8 I was baptized into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and was given the gift of the Holy Ghost. I continued to learn and study and obey. Through life and experiences my testimony has been strengthened. As a college student I remember reading in the Book of Mormon about faith being compared to a seed. As I nurture my faith in different principles they grow. One of the principles I have great faith in is of covenants and eternal marriage and families. I was married the temple and sealed to my husband and children. I have faith in the law of tithing. I have faith that I can change for the better every day because of my Savior Jesus Christ. Living the gospel of Jesus Christ brings me true joy and happiness. I know that the scriptures contain truth and are given to me to help me find happiness in my life. I know there is a prophet on the earth today that leads and guides all. I know that I am happiest when I choose to follow the commandments of God. And the greatest gift of all is that when I mess up I can return to happiness by repenting and changing.

How I live my faith

I have the opportunity to work with the children in my church. I sing with them each Sunday in their class. I organize the activities for the children and support the teachers. I work with another woman in this job which is great so we can bounce ideas off of each other. Currently we are preparing the three year olds to enter into the more structured class and leave the "play room". The teachers are amazing and love the children. I have developed a great love for these little children. I also have the opportunity each month to meet with woman in the community to visit and get to know each other. This provides me with peace, happiness and safety. As friends we know each other and trust each other and know we can depend upon each other in times of need. I find great joy in serving the woman and families around me. I find great peace knowing that when I am in trouble they will help me and my family.
