Hi I'm Erica

I'm a working mom. I'm an awesome wife. I'm an avid shopper. I'm a reality TV junkie. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My husband and I moved to Colorado in 2007 and love it here! I enjoy everything from all of the local festivals and outdoors amenities to the great shopping that Colorado has to offer (we just got an IKEA and H&M is on it's way!). When I'm not chasing our little toddler around or working I love browsing internet (i.e.-blogging, facebook, pinterest, etc.) to get ideas for decorating my home or to check out the latest fashion trends (by no means does my house or wardrobe reflect this but I still like to look). I have a degree in Public Relations but wish I would have gotten a degree in interior design. I also love to be creative whether that's through crafts, graphic design or decorating cake pops I just love to have a creative outlet! Church is also a big part of my life. I dedicated a lot of my free time to my callings, volunteering and church activities.

Why I am a Mormon

We all have trials and that is part of life but when I make the Lord a part of my life by going to church, reading the Bible and Book of Mormon, saying daily prayers my burdens are lighter and I'm able to get through the hard things in life with a feeling that I'm not alone. By following the principles of this gospel I lead a happier more fullfilled life. The number one principle that motivates me to stick firm to the church is knowing that families can be together forever. Knowing that I will be able to be with my husband, son and future children for all eternity is the greatest gift I could ever ask for. I'm not very good at articulating my testimony, I've just always know in my heart that this is the true church. I have had the church in my life and not in my life and I can see a positive change when I'm an active member of this church. I'm able to keep an eternal perspective that helps me get through hard trials and even the little day to day things. While there are many temptations in this world and by no means is it easy to be in the world and not of the world I'm so grateful for the church in my life and this path I have chosen.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying each day to be an example to those around me. It's not my style to be all preachy to my friends or co-workers but if I live my life according to the principles of this gospel I feel that those around me will feel the light of Christ. I serve my church as a Sunday School teacher for the little 3 and 4 year old kids in our church...and I love it!!! They teach me so much and I'm always in awe of their love for the Savior and their love for life in general. I think it's important to make my faith part of my daily routine and to show my children that faith isn't something that we practice on Sundays but it's something we practice everyday.
