Hi I'm Scotty

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a retired service worker from Illinois, I'm married to a wonderful woman and we have two sons. One, 20 yrs. old and in college, the other is in high school and has Aspergers-Autism Syndrome and has an intelligence that's off the chart. For fun, I babysit my niece and nephew aged 7 and 4. It helps keep me busy because I'm a typical "house-husband" doing chores, running errands, and kids around. I love music, I'll listen to anything, I also enjoy looking at classic cars and going to car shows. I used to own a few, and I like to put model cars together. I enjoy fishing, and I like to go shooting at my in-laws when my wife let's me get away for a day!

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised a Lutheran, and went to Catholic School. My first exposure to the L.D.S. church was through my Aunt when I was 10 years old, she and my Grand-mother took me on a week-end trip to Carthage, and Navoo, IL. This is where Joseph Smith Jr. lived and was eventually martyred. There was such a feeling love ,kindness and hope there, after that trip my Grand-mother always told me that I should become a Mormon. As i grew older, and when I was working, I met a man whom spoke to me about the Gospel of the Book of Mormon. What he spoke of made sense to me, and it changed my life forever!

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith quietly, and in the service of the Lord. In my busy life I wish I could do more, however in the past I've served as an Asst. Clerk, Youth Secretary, Building Maintenance, and looking after the building. All of which I've enjoyed.
