Hi I'm Carol

I spent 6 and a half years in the Military. I am now an Assistant Apartment Manager in Tacoma, WA. I am a Morman.

About Me

I am a single mother of a teenage girl. I love to read, go for long walks, be a taxi for my daughter and her friends.. ha ha. Like I said before I am an assistant manager of an apartment complex and have been here for 3 years.

Why I am a Mormon

Why I became a member of the church. Well, I was tired of going to the same churches that you walk into and no one will talk to you. The people sitting next to you sill stare at you like you have a third eye. That is not the case here. When you first walk into the building people will walk up to you and say "hi, is this your first time here? We are so glad that you came." and make you feel like you belong somewhere and care about what happens in your life. Once you make a friend here, all the people are now your "family". When I first started asking questions about the church, I heard all the roumors about the "cult" and that the mormans are to have huge families and the men are to have more that one wife. That is really not true. When I got inside and met some of these people, I saw people just like me. Working families and ony one wife, and no huge families. There was no cult and only friendly faces that greet you when you come in.

How I live my faith

I go to church every sunday, I walk into work knowing that every day is a good day. I feel lifted and lighter, not bogged down my the weight of things that I can't control. I was helping in our ward or branch by being in charge of our dinners and what we call a meet and greet, (that is where all the new people who are checking out or investagating the church) so they can get more information about it and the members.

Are there restrictions based on race or color concerning who can join The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and have the priesthood?

No, anyone can join the church. We do not believe in having only one type of person. It take all types of people to make the world do round. Show more Show less
