Hi I'm Lynne

Life has been a continuous roller coaster ride of ups and downs. Challenges have made me strong rather than weak. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have been married and divorced and remarried. I spent twelve years as a single, working mom before remarrying. Between my husband and I we have 8 children and 22 grandchildren. I am retired from full-time employment. I enjoy spending time with my family and serving in my church assignments. My husband and I served a 2 year mission for the church in Siberia, Russia. It was an amazing adventure and it made me so grateful for being an American. I love America and the freedoms we enjoy.

Why I am a Mormon

I made many mistakes in my young life, tested the limits, and even gave up at times. I wanted the blessings promised by living the gospel. Over time, I began to see that opportunities to repent and pick myself up continued to come to me. I came to realize I needed to exercise faith in Jesus Christ and the teachings of my childhood. I know that I am a child of God and that He knows me personally, has an interest in me, and loves me. Through exercising obedience, I have had a personal witness of this in my life. I know the gospel of Jesus Christ has been restored to the earth through the Prophet Joseph Smith. I know Joseph Smith translated the Book of Mormon which is another testament of Jesus Christ. I know God's priesthood has been restored and there is a living prophet today. I received this knowledge gradually. It started with a desire to know and faith that I would receive an answer as I lived to be worthy of an answer. I am so grateful for the atonement of Jesus Christ which allowed me to repent of many wrong-doings in my early years. I am at peace with my life and happier than I ever expected to be.

How I live my faith

Currently, I serve as a leader in my ward working with all women over 18 years old in the oldest woman's organization in America. I enjoy seeking ways to help and teach these women skills in raising their children, strengthen their marriages, and growing individually. I encourage these sisters as they grow in their knowledge of Jesus Christ. With other women, we serve the needy in our congregation. I live my faith by being a good example to my children, my grandchildren, my friends and even strangers with whom I interact.
