Hi I'm Owen Allen

I grew up in Arizona, I live in Washington state, I work with computers, I love to travel, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Arizona, served a mission in South America, attended college in Arizona, and started a family. Since Arizona, we've lived in Pennsylvania, Delaware, New York, and Washington state. I work with computers - helping software companies be more successful. I love spending time at home with the children, and can't get enough of the outdoors in the Pacific Northwest. My wife and I love to travel. I teach a sunday school class on Sundays.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I believe in God and I believe that the Mormon church is His church. It started when I was about 12 and realized that God was answering my prayers and was aware of who I was/am. Throughout my life, I've learned that I can always reach out to Him when I need to. The practices and teachings of the Mormon church have added strength to my life. This is probably the primary reason that I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

Participating in the Mormon church is full of opportunities to serve. I have been helping with different parts of the organization since I was young. Most recently, I've served on Sundays as a sunday school teacher for children (Primary ages), I've directed the local Men's service group, I've served as a Scoutmaster for the Boy Scout troop, and also as an Executive Assistant to the local ecclesiastical leader, the Bishop. Each position brings an opportunity to serve. Each member of the church can help in many different ways.
