Hi I'm Travis

I grew up in Utah and California. I'm a Sales Manager for a biopharmaceutical company and a Master Plumber. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a father of four, constantly trying to manage my time between kids activities, work, time with my wife, church, and hobbies. I graduated in Business Marketing and obtained a Journeyman Plumbing License while in College. I traded in my plumber's wrench to sell drugs (pharmaceuticals) and currently manage a sales team. I love to teach, write, play basketball, mountain bike, shoot guns, and engage in anything challenging and adventurous. I believe that each person has the ability to contol their fate, and I often try to learn skills to help me do that for myself and my family.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in Utah for most of my childhood, yet I didn't go to church or consider myself a Mormon from ages 12 to 22. While going to a local University and plumbing, I met a girl that I felt was perfect, except for the fact that she was Mormon and had a plan to get married in the temple. While I waited for her to see the "light," I wrote my grandfather (a Mormon on a mission for the church in Malasia) and asked him why it is so important for Mormons to get married in the temple. He answered my questions and stated that I owed it not just to myself, but to my future wife, kids, and grandchildren to discover for my own if the teachings of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints are true. I didn't do that and my girlfriend and I split up. I went back to how I was living before I met her. I felt like something big was missing in my life. I began investigating the gospel further, even though I thought that I knew all about the Mormon church. I realized that, in reality, I didn't know much about the gospel. A year or so later I was married in the Mormon temple

How I live my faith

I have helped to contribute to the teachings of Jesus Christ in many different ways. I have taught many classes on Sunday, from preschool age to adult. I try to help those that I am able to help in many different ways, from sharing spiritual messages to fine-tuning interviewings skills and fixing leaky sinks, which includes those both in and outside of the church. I also contribute financially to help the church's humanitarian and welfare efforts, as well as to build new churches and temples.
