Hi I'm Brenda

I'm a Navy Reservist, I'm a legal assisant, I'm a mother of two teenagers, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have been married for 15 years, and have two beautiful kids. I work full time at a law firm and ride the commuter rail to and from work. I work admin in the Navy Reserves which has taken me to some amazing places. I love music, including playing/teaching piano, singing, watching my kids in band, and listening to various types of music. I also enjoy running, sewing, scrap booking, yardwork and being a mom.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in the church. When I was fourteen I prayed for my own knowledge of the gospel. After weeks of praying, I realized that I already knew that Joseph Smith was a prophet, that the Book of Mormon is true and that living the gospel makes me happy. I know that my Heavenly Father loves me and is consistantly blessing my life.

How I live my faith

I am a teacher for the 12-13 year old girls and love teaching and fellowshipping these young ladies. They have such strong morales and they are not ashamed of who they are. I think I learn more from them thean I could ever teach them.

Why don’t women hold the priesthood in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints? How do Mormon women lead in the Church?

Brenda
Men and women have very different roles in the big picture, both of which are vital to succeed in this life. Women have full access to the blessings of the priesthood through husbands, neighbors and other church leaders. Show more Show less
