Hi I'm Fred M James

I am a podiatrist and after finishing residency return to practice in the same town that I grew up in.

About Me

I went to medical school and completed my residency in Cleveland Ohio. I then returned to my home town of Lincoln Nebraska with my wife and family. I am the father of three boys and three girls all of whom are now spread across the country. I began backpacking with my boys when they were young and still love long walks. Though now it is with my sweetheart and I have traded hiking in the mountains for walks around the the block and through the neighborhoods. I love scuba diving and seeing the world.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because the principles taught in this church always keep me grounded. We all make mistakes in life and through my personal journey I have learned that happiness is not found in the acquisition of material things. But rather in the service of others. Living the principles of my religion have allowed me to find fulfillment that I could find in no other way. I suppose we are all looking for happiness. But happiness can be a fleeting thing. Because of my decision to be a member of the Mormon church I have found contentment and and inner peace in an other wise confused and tumultuous world.

How I live my faith

I have the opportunity of working with college age young people. I have found that they are almost always filled with an enthusiasm and zest for life. My interaction with them often gives me the opportunity to share my perspective on the many social and religious issues of our time. We often discuss there academic pursuits and the aspiration that they have for there individual lives. They are the greatest group of young people I believe I have ever know. They're a lot of fun to be with and they keep me young at heart.
