Hi I'm Anthony

I create. I learn. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I attend college at Arizona State University. I am majoring in Accounting and Computer Information Systems. I am a soon to be Dad. We are expecting a new little one on the 22 day of December. I am an avid gamer playing anything from intense RPGs to Halo. Playing guitar is one of my favorite past times when I am not surrounded by stacks of textbooks.

Why I am a Mormon

In high school I lived life a little on the wild side. I partied with friends, hid from cops, and grew my hair long to fit in with my hardcore band. During this time my family situation was less than ideal but I continued to attend the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. There I met exemplary leaders and compassionate friends. There I learned that I have the power of choice to make my life excellent. There I learned to pray. I then received answers to prayers that lead me to change my life, my friendships, and my dreams. I lived one of those dreams just recently, I served a mission in Montreal, Canada. There I learned French, I learned to love, and I learned to serve. These experiences made me who I am today, a loyal friend, a patient husband, and a happy Mormon.

How I live my faith

I live my faith through the time I spend with my friends at church. I help other men build faith in Christ through doing the things that he would do, such as visiting those that are sick or need help. I also have asked for help from these men to help me put a new door on my house. Our faith is expressed through action. As a college student I am facing very important decisions. Which career do I choose? Which internship should I go for? All of which will affect me and my family. I seek guidance from my Father in Heaven through prayer because I know he hears and answers them all, in time.

How can we come to know our Father in Heaven?

How do we come to know our friends, our cousins, or our neighbors? Simple, we spend time with them. We ask them questions. We find out what they enjoy doing, what makes them happy, what they fear. Getting to know our Father in Heaven is done in much the same way. We communicate with him through prayer. He listens to our concerns, questions, and desires. He will respond if we seek earnestly, believing that we will get an answer and have a desire to act on that answer. We can spend time with him through prayer and reading the words he has spoken to us through the scriptures and words of prophets. Show more Show less
