Hi I'm Lauren

I'm a junior in high school, I'm an athlete. I love music, friends, and my family, and I'm Mormon.

About Me

In my family I am blessed to be the oldest of five daughters. I love my family very much and enjoy spending time with them and simply laughing together. Outside of my family I have three best friends that I do almost everything with(exercising, shopping, going to dances and football games, and much more). I have played soccer for as long as I can remember and I love running in cross country. Being active in sports makes me happy, and keeps me busy, and keeps me involved. However, I recently had surgery to replace an ACL which prevents me from playing soccer for quite some time. I started playing the piano when I was six and to this day I continue to play. I am a member in my school's top choir and I help with the beginning choirs. I enjoy math and physics in school and would prefer them over history or english any day. :) When I graduate from high school I plan on going into nursing or hygiene because I love working with people and have grown up helping my father in his dental offices. I am a huge BYU cougar fan and I love being a mormon.

Why I am a Mormon

From the time I was born, I was raised in this church. But I know that it's true, without a shadow of a doubt. I have had many experiences when I have seen my Savior's hand in my life, helping me with trials of heart ache and sorrow and protecting me from danger ahead. I know he is mindful of me and that he hears and answers my prayers. I love attending church on Sundays because of the warm and special feeling that I get when I go. And I know that this feeling is the holy ghost. I love the scriptures and reading the words of the past prophets who have faithfully chosen to follow my Savior and Redeemer. I am grateful for the counsel of our prophets today that keep me safe and on the path back to my Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. I am excited for the day when I can get married to someone that I love in the temple because I have chosen to live worthily and refrain from the unclean things of this world. I know that without the knowledge of this gospel and choosing to live righteously I can not return to Heavenly Father and his son Jesus Christ, who willingly died on the cross so that we ALL can live with him again. I love this church and I bear witness to you that my Savior lives and that this is the only true church on this earth today.

How I live my faith

On my soccer team I am the only girl who is a mormon. And I am grateful for this opportunity because it has given me a chance to share my beliefs and teach the girls on my soccer team. At school I choose to sacrifice my lunch so that I can take seminary and get an hour away from the world and feel the spirit. In school there are parties and dances that I choose to not attend because they might not be places where I feel comfortable or may be challenged to do things against my beliefs. But I know that the choices that I make in this world to stay strong and stand firm will help me grow closer to Jesus Christ and eventually make it back to him. Each day I have a time when I read my scriptures and say my personal prayers. These things are very important to me because it strengthens my testimony and I feel like my day doesn't go as well when I skip a day. Every Monday my family spends an hour together reading stories from the scriptures, or playing church related games that bring us closer together while we learn more about our church and our Lord.
