Hi I'm Dave

I love the desert. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm 33 years old, live in Arizona and I'm working now as an ICU nurse. I'm going to school to be a nurse practitioner and hope to be able to help people and support a family. My wife and I welcomed three baby girls to our family Christmas Eve 2012. We'd waited for them to come for a long time. My girls are all learning everyday and even though they can't talk yet they like to tell me that, "Nobody has it better than us." I'm sure there's other stuff about me too but that doesn't really matter much. I've got the three best daughters in the world.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it makes me happy. I know that through Christ I can live with my Father in Heaven again. I know that through Christ I can be happy in this life. I know that through Christ I can repent of the wrong I've done. But right now what means the most to me is my family. I know that because I was married to my wife in the Temple that our family is sealed together forever. I know that my girls will always be with me. Just knowing that my wife and I are going to be together forever helps us to approach our marriage a little differently. We understand that disagreements are short-term. We know that we can get through any trial. We know that we can face all things together because we will never be alone. We will always have each other. And we will always have Christ.

How I live my faith

Living my faith is a daily part of life. Each day I pray both by myself and with my family. Each day we read from the scriptures as a family and study them alone. Every Sunday we have what I call baby Sunday School where my wife and I teach our girls different topics about the gospel from why we serve to why Christ died for us. We also get to have family home evening every Monday night. The girls are still young so it usually goes pretty quick but we always tell at least two stories one about Jesus and one about something funny that happened in our lives. The girls love it and I love to share the time with them. I live my faith by loving my family and teaching them how to be happy.
