Hi I'm Marjorie

I grew up in São Paulo, Brazil. I moved to the United States in 2009, and I am currently studying at BYU-Idaho.

About Me

Hi! I am Marjorie and I am 21 years-old. I grew up in Brazil, and I am studying "Marriage and Family Studies" at BYU-Idaho. I love to learn more about the gospel, to talk to my friends, to watch movies, to play sports, to meet new people, to sing, to go shopping, and to teach the gospel to those around me.

Why I am a Mormon

I love being a Mormon. I receive so much knowledge from this gospel, and I do not know how my life would be without it. I always had a testimony from the Church, but it became stronger through the years. I remember that the first experience that I had about the Book of Mormon was when I first read it, and prayed about it. I do not remember how old I was, but I still remember the great feeling that I had. In the middle of my prayer, I started to cry, and I could not deny that Heavenly Father answered my prayer. I could not deny that I was feeling His Spirit testifying to me that the Book of Mormon is true, thus, that "The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints" is true. My testimony became stronger with each new experience that I had in my life. When I was little, I did not understand a lot of things about the gospel. I just knew that it was good for me and for my family, and that it is the true Church. Now I know with no doubt in my heart that this Church is true. I know that Heavenly Father answers my prayers, and that He has a plan for me. I know that there is life after death. I know that families can be together forever. I know that the covenants that we make in the temple are sacred and very important to our salvation. I know that without God in my life I would be nothing. I thank Heavenly Father every day for knowing His Church, because it brings me so much happiness. It gives a meaning to my life, and peace to my heart.

How I live my faith

I believe that the greatest way of living my faith is by being an example. I think that I can be a light to those around me, and I hope that through my example, more people will want to know about Christ. I have faith that one day I will meet God and Jesus Christ again. I know that Heavenly Father is always by my side, guiding me. Some times life is hard, but it does not have to be hard. If we trust the Lord and have faith that He is guiding and helping us, we do not need to fear. We have the option of having Christ's help in every moment throughout our lives, so why should we choose to live without Him? He knows what is best for us, and He knows of what we are capable. I completely trust the Lord, and I am so grateful for having the knowledge that He lives, that He is my Father, and that one day I will see Him again.
