Hi I'm Melanie

I'm a mother of four, a wife, a runner, a nurse and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I've been married for 13 years. I have an energetic husband and four great kids. I love spending time with my family. We like hiking and camping and being outside together. This year we also learned how to rock climb! I have a bachelor's degree in nursing and work occasionally as an operating room nurse.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in a Mormon family. My family attended church each week and my parents were great examples of serving others. I have always attended chruch. However, through my teenage and college years I learned for myself that living by the teachings of Jesus Christ is the way to be happy. I have had times where my faith has been tested. In these trials, I found that turning toward God and asking for His help, made it so I could handle my challenges. I can't imagine trying to go through life without the knowledge of God. He is loving and caring and wants what's best for me.

How I live my faith

I try to live my life so that others will know what I believe by the things they see me do. I attend church on Sundays and serve where I can. Right now I have the great oppotunity to be a den leader in the Cub Scout program. I meet with a bunch of wild boys each week and try to teach them new skills while also having a lot of fun. I also vounteer with PTA at my children's schools. As a family we try to take one night each week for family time. This is a time when we read scripture stories and do fun things together.
