Hi I'm Sid Godfrey

I'm a hunter and fisherman, I'm a father, I'm a husband and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the youngest of 5 children. I grew up in the beautiful mountainous area of Wyoming and spent my youth hunting, fishing and enjoying the great outdoors. I attended Casper College in Wyoming and studied Diesel Mechanics. I work as a Fleet Technician for a city in Arizona. I love being a father and husband to my 7 children and wonderful wife. I love going on trips and cruises with my family.

Why I am a Mormon

Although I have been a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, I have not always been a practicing member. Growing up my parents who were not active in the church the only exposure I had to the church was when I would go with my oldest brother and his family. In 1986 we had a very tough year starting with the death of my Father, then a few months later my oldest brothers wife passed, and a few months after that my mother passed. These events started a downward spiral of my life and relationship with my family. I spent the next years moving all over the place, I met and married my first wife and had a beautiful son with her and later ended up in divorce. One evening I was setting in my apartment thinking to myself there has got to be more to life than what I am currently doing. A few weeks later I got a phone call from an old co-worker who recruited me to go to work for the company he worked for. I moved to Colorado and ended up renting an apartment from a wonderful family who were "Mormons". I began going to church and from there my life began to turn around. I helped one of this familys daughters move to Arizona and she arranged a blind date for me with a wonderful woman who she knew from when she used to live there. From there my relationship bloomed with the woman who now is my wife of almost 17 years. My life has completely turned around for the good and I have to credit it all to my loving Heavenly Father and his son Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I have held many callings in the church where I have taught gospel pricipals to adult and children, I spent alot of my free time helping others in my area. I love serving people. I try to set the best example I can when I am out in public. I am honest and sincere when dealing with people both in business and friendships. I try to set the example the Jesus Christ set when he was on earth preaching the gospel. I share my knowledge of the gospel with anyone who has questions about it.
