Hi I'm Wendy

I am a Colorado native. I had colon cancer surgery last year. I love sports and am training for a 1/2 marathon. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have lived in Colorado my whole life. I met the man of my dreams in High School and we have now been married for 25 years. I have three amazing children. My son is currently serving a mission in Slovenia. I work as an insurance auditor and a “mom taxi”. I really enjoy outdoor activities. I like to run long distance races, hiking, wakeboarding, and playing tennis.

Why I am a Mormon

I was blessed to be born into a Mormon family, so I was baptized when I was 8 years old. When I was a teenager my father passed away with Cancer. I loved him with all my heart and needed more than anything to know that the church was true and the blessings of the temple making us an eternal family were true. I began to search my own heart to see if the church that my parents had raised me up in was indeed the true Church of Jesus Christ. When I was in high school there were only 3 kids my age that belonged to the church. Everyone knew that I was a Mormon. If I was to field all the questions that were asked of me, handle the unkind statements, and my own questions, I was going to need to have a strong testimony of what being a Mormon really meant. I attended church every Sunday and also early morning seminary. I listened and studied and prayed. The Lord heard my prayers and gave me a solid knowledge through his Sprit and indeed Christ is the Son of God and he had died for my sins and through his atonement I can once again return into the kingdom of God. I knew that the temple did indeed seal family together forever and I would once again be reunited with my Earthly Father. I know that the family that I now have will also be able to meet him as we are all reunited in God’s kingdom.

How I live my faith

I live my Faith just by being me. It is just who I am a Mormon. I strive every day to stand as a witness of Christ. I have a desire to be an example of my Savior, Jesus Christ, in all that I do. I teach my children about their Heavenly Father and Jesus. I teach them to have high moral standards. I want them to have a solid foundation of His church. I want them to be prepared for the storms in life that we all know will come, and be truly grounded with own testimonies. I share with friends, family and total strangers that my son is currently a Missionary serving in Slovenia. Being a Mormon isn't just a "Sunday" thing. It's my life! I love it and I wouldn't have it any other way.
