Hi I'm Shane

I'm a chef. I'm Into video games. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a father of two children. I have a daughter out of wedlock and I have a son from my first marriage. I am currently married and have no children with my current wife. I am a chef at a hospital making food for all our sick brothers and sisters. I enjoy online gaming and novice video editing.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the church so as far as my faith went in the church it is what I call borrowed light from my parents. It wasn't til I went on my mission to Birmingham Alabama that i gained my own testimony. My first area was Jasper Alabama and I went out with my companion on our bikes. We rode around the corner and we stopped to talk with a gentleman and my companion was so versed and had an awesome understanding of the gospel. I then realized I had no idea what I was doing out there in the mission field. So I started to read "the Book of Mormon" and "the Bible" I started to fully understand the purpose of my life and the reason for serving a mission. I finally gained my own testimony of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I know that Jesus lives and is the son of God. I know that through the prophet Joseph Smith Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ restored there true church once again on the face of the earth. I know the gospel is real and that God speaks to a living prophet today. I know that "the Book of Mormon" is another testament of Jesus Christ and you can get nearer to God by abiding by its teachings. I say these things in Jesus' name amen

How I live my faith

I am very busy as far as my work is involved. I only get to attend church every other Sunday. Through out the week I read "the Book of Mormon" with my son nightly. and on Monday I get my family together and we have a family night were we discuss the gospel. I love the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I Try to attend the Temple once a month with my wife and visit some members in my ward with another brother in the ward to discuss the gospel and see if we can help with anything.
