Hi I'm Wade

I am a father of 10, a small rural farmer, an engineer, and enjoy boating, quad riding, and camping. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a father of 10 children and have a wonderful wife. She is the best part of my life. I look forward to coming home from my job as an engineer to many smiling faces. From teeneagers to infants, I enjoy the time that I get to spend with them. I really like to ride the sand dunes on my quad or sandrail. We make it a family affair. I live on some acreage with a dozen milking goats, a pig, 2 dogs, and some cats. I enjoy looking out the kitchen window seeing the "herd" go walking by in the pasture.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the church, and am glad that I was. It provides guidance and direction to my life. Even though I was born a Mormon, I had to decide for myself that this was the right religion for me. I have read the Bible and Book of Mormon. I feel that they both are words from our God. I have asked my Father in Heaven and have received confirmation in my heart that they are His words. They give me direction and encouragement when I need it. I also find social and emotional support and strength from membership in the local congregation. I have many good friends through this assiciation.

How I live my faith

I go to church with my family every week. With the 10 kids, it can sometimes be quite a challange maintaining the reverence that church should have. I have the opportunity to serve the local membership, specifically the youth and their programs. It is a wonderful feeling to pass on my testimony to them. We are preparing to take about 400 youth on a pioneer trek, a 3 day event remembering the Mormon migration in the mid 1800's. During this event I will share my testimony of the Savior with them drawing us all closer to the Savior. That is what I love the most about sharing a testimony of the Savior, it affects me the most. This event will be a blessing to me in my life. I believe that I am a better husband, father, and friend because of the service in the church.
