Hi I'm Rex Robinson

I grew up in Austin, Texas. I have built by business in the construction industry and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I have been married for 23 years and enjoy the diversity of raising 5 very different children. For a long time, I was a high school coach and teacher and enjoyed the challenge that came with that profession. About 10 years ago, I decided to make a career move and have been in the building industry ever since. About six years ago, I started my own company in home building and remodeling. My oldest child is married and just graduated from college...I have a son who is about to leave on a two year mission to Argentina. I have another daughter in High School...one in Jr. High...and another son to bring up the rear. I am also an early morning seminary teacher and look forward to studying the gospel with these bright eyed students every day.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church. For a long time, I "borrowed" from the strength and testimony of parents, family and friends. It was not until my senior year in high school that I gained a deeper understanding of who I was and who my Savior is...as I began to read the scriptures on my own and pray for meaning and understanding, I began to realize that I had a testimony of the truthfulness of the life and mission on the Savior. It was my own, not my parents or friends. So, though I was born in the church, I was converted in 1982.

How I live my faith

I have tried to demonstrate my faith with how I live my life. I would be the first to admit that I am not a perfect man and have more than my fair share of shortcomings and weaknesses, but I believe that honor, integrity, faith and charity have become part of my character and reflect how I deal with people every day.
