Hi I'm Andrew

I'm from Colorado. I'm an accountant, I'm a family man, I love the outdoors and many other things. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I like a little of everything; 4 wheeling, hiking, ultimate frisbee and all sports in general, I'm a drummer and a pianist, I like video games, card games, and all kinds of games. I really do about anything as long as I can be with my family and friends. I am a recent first time father and have been married for about a year. I got married right after graduating college with a B.S. in Accounting. I also speak Spanish and lived in Mexico for two years as a missionary. I love the culture, food, and people of Mexico.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a member of this church since I was born. In a lot of ways the teaching of the church have been ingrained into me, but I have had my own moments where I doubted whether this church was really the true church that God would have me attend. Prayer has become one of the most important things in my life. I know that God has given us the ability to communicate with him through prayer so that we might receive guidance directly from him in our lives. He knows that this life will not be easy for us nor will the way we should go always be clear. Through prayer I know that we can receive guidance from him. As He sees us sincerely seek His will and show Him that we are willing to do what He wants us to do, I know that he will let us know the answers to those desires of our hearts. This works for all matters that are important to us. He cares about us and loves us. Through my life and my experiences with prayer I have come to know that I am doing those things that He would have me do. I am not perfect at always following His guidance, but I know that he forgives us and allows us to try again and improve oursleves. As long as we continue to seek His will and try our best we can live in this sometimes crazy and difficult world with the assurance that we are in good standing before God. I am so grateful for this knowledge that I have gained and it has blessed my life tremendously.

How I live my faith

I have had many different opportunities and responsibilities in the church. I have always had a special assignment to visit at least one or two families that I attend church with on a monthly basis to be a support and friend to that family. This responsibility has been just as beneficial to me as to those families. I am currently a ScoutMaster of a boy scout troop which the church sponsors because of the good qualities and skills it teaches the young men. I have lots of opportunities to help teach and develop the young men through camp outs, service projects, and other activities that help them learn new skills. These range any where from very scout like activities like knots and camping to things like the importance of family, communication, cooking, and other skills that will help any person in the other aspects of their life.
