Hi I'm Anna

I love the violin. I speak in movie quotes. I want to teach when I grow up. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Salt Lake City, Utah with my wonderful family. I am the youngest of five children. There is nothing better in this world than my family. We love to laugh and watch movies together. We can talk and quote movies for hours. We are pretty close in age, and even now that we don't live at home, we love to meet up and play games or eat great food. We also love to get out our violins and play all day! I have some amazing friends that make me beyond happy. Fun times are had by all. I love listening to them and discussing anything from the weather to the psychological undertones of people's choices. I graduated from Utah State University with a degree in Elementary Education because I love to help others and I want to share the knowledge I have with others who will make a great difference in the world. But before starting my teaching career, I chose to go on a full-time mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I served in the Florida Fort Lauderdale Mission and got to meet wonderful people that I will love forever. I loved being there in a place completely different than my home, seeing how other people live and express their faith.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a member of the Church for my entire life and I couldn't be happier! The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is a part of who I am; it defines my exsitance. Being a Mormon means I know why I am here and where I am going. It explains why I have a family and I know I can live with them forever. It helps me to make decisions and live in a way that I can be happy and confident. The Church has taught me how to live in accordance to God's will and be able to see the path I need to take to return to God after this life and live with peace and joy for eternity.

How I live my faith

Everyday I pray to have the Spirit of God with me. As I choose to obey the commandments, I am blessed and guided by that spirit. I try to invite the blessings that come from our Heavenly Father into my life by helping and serving others. I especially love to do nice things for my friends and family who do so much for me. I strive each day to be more like Jesus Christ by being patient and hopeful, even when life is difficult and hard to bear. As a move forward through trials with the knowledge that they are for my good and that I will have help from heaven, I am able to results that could never come from my own meager abilities. Taking time throughout my day for God helps me to show my love for Him and my faith in His Son.

What do Mormons believe about “eternal life?”

Eternal life is living with God and with our families forever in perfect happiness. Doesn't that sound wonderful? It is something we all are striving to acheive; and what God wants for each of us! He wants all of His children to return and live with him someday. He wants us to be ready to enter in to his presence, so he has given us comandments in order to prepare us for that great place. He sent His Son to show us the way. Christ taught that we need to have faith in him, repent of the mistakes we make, be baptized by the power of God, recieve the Holy Ghost, and continue keeping the commandments every day. When we do that, we are promised that we can live with God and have Eternal life. Simple guidelines to never-ending happiness! Show more Show less
