Hi I'm Natalie

I'm a proud Seattle native. I'm a BYU student. I am an aunt and sister. I am a disciple of Christ. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently studying at BYU in Provo, UT. I am a nursing major and am so excited to pursue this career path. I want to be able to help and serve others. I recently returned from a full-time LDS mission to Mesa, Arizona speaking Spanish. It was a life-changing experience for me. I love music and enjoying singing and playing the piano. I love spending time with my family and friends.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because this religion contains God's entire gospel. It makes me happy. I can't express the love that I feel from my Heavenly Father for me and everyone around me. He loves us so much that He has made a way to be happy, and we can learn those ways through this church. I have prayed and studied the scriptures consistently throughout my life, and over and over again the Holy Ghost has testified to me that this church has the truth. The joy I feel when I live my life according to the gospel principles and according to God's will is indescribable. It is amazing that I can find the answers or solutions to anything life throws at me through my faith. There's no greater reassurance about if what I am doing is right than that which comes from God. I truly know in my heart that there's nothing else God would rather have me be doing than this church. I know that this church brings me happiness and will help me become the person God wants me to be.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to live as Jesus did. He is the best example I could ever have, so I strive to be the type of person He would like me to be. I try to have charity for others and show them love, respect, and support. I try to find opportunities to serve others and to brighten their days. I diligently try to live the commandments that Heavenly Father has given us because I know that obedience is truly what brings joy into my life. I serve in my church as I have been called to provide service in several different positions. One important way that I live my faith is by studying the scriptures every day. I try to find new things that I need to learn and ways that God wants me to change my life through reading the scriptures. I feel like I can connect with God and receive personal guidance from Him as I spend personal time in prayer and reading the scriptures. I recently finished an 18 month mission for the Church in Mesa, Arizona where I taught people about the gospel, helping them come unto Christ, and providing any other service that they might need in their lives. I also love to go to the temple - a place I believe to be the House of God. There I feel so much peace and feel like I can connect with my Heavenly Father.

In whom should we have faith?

We should have faith in Jesus Christ. We need to have faith that through His Atonement, we can be made clean from all of our sins when we offer true repentance. We need to have faith that he felt all of our pains and that He knows the perfect way to help us through any of our personal trials. We need to have faith that Jesus Christ truly loves us as an individual and wants us to find true happiness and joy. Faith is more than a belief, however. Faith also requires action. If we have faith in Jesus Christ, that means we need to act on His teachings and follow Him. Faith also provides us with an extra power to do the things that are required of us. Faith in Christ allows us to stay strong no matter what obstacles may be thrown our way. Show more Show less
