Hi I'm Dave F.

I'm an engineer with the US Air Force; my family and I have lived all over the world, 23 different homes in total!

About Me

I was converted to the gospel in my youth and have been an active member of the church my whole life. My bride (of 30 years) and I have 9 children (one every other year for 20 years) and are actively engaged in family, church, school, sports, and work activities. We have 2 ½ grandchildren and all enjoy when our entire family is able to get together for various holidays. I have been a facilities engineer in the US Air Force for 29 years; our family has lived all over the world, in a total of 23 different homes. Everywhere we live, the gospel is the same, the members are great examples for us, and we very much enjoy our interaction with the members of the church in each location.

Why I am a Mormon

I have a strong testimony of the Gospel of Jesus Christ; it is quick and powerful. I built my gospel foundation through attending seminary for 4 years in high school and then taking as many religion classes as I could at BYU (about all religions of the world); what a powerful experience that was. While serving a 2 year mission in Ecuador, it even confirmed stronger to me the value of the gospel in our lives and what a void my life would have without the gospel. While living and moving all around the world with my job, the church has been the mainstay of our lives and provided the strength, leadership, and direction to keep me and my family moving forward.

How I live my faith

I recharge my spiritual “batteries” every Sunday by participating at church; during the week, I try to fulfill my church assignments, pray, study, and live the gospel such that I can have the spirit to help me in all I do. As I have shortcomings, I try to work through them and continue to progress and move forward. Serving other people has certainly taught me the joy the gospel has to offer and provided the peace and strength to help me and my family through the good and tough times.
