Hi I'm Esther

I'm from México, I'm married and mother of six children, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in Tamaulipas, México, I graduated from high school in my country, then married my husband back in 1990, we moved from México to USA in 1996. I love my culture, that's why I try to keep our traditions alive, I love mexican folkloric dance, and of course mexican food, I love cooking, baking, sewing, and crafts. I'm always looking for opportunities to learn new things that can help me with my family and to serve others.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the Catholic church, my husband is a Mormon, and one day he invited some missionaries to come and visit our home. I was very mad at first, but then as they continued visiting our home I felt something special. After a few months of being taught by these missionaries, I was having my baptismal interview. It was very hard at the beginning because my family didn't like my decision, but with time they have seen how happy I am and all this is thanks to my Savior Jesus Christ. I am a Mormon because I have found true happiness in the gospel, I have learned that life is not over when we die, that God has a plan and that I can live with my family forever if I obey God's commandments. I am very grateful for that day that my husband invited the missionaries. I know that my Heavenly Father loves me, that I'm a special daughter of God, I know that he has a plan for me, and I'm very happy to say that now I belong to the Church Of Jesus Christ of latter days saints, and that I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I do live my faith by going to church, reading the scriptures, trying to live the same way Jesus Christ lived, by serving others, I''m a Sunday School teacher for the adults class at church. I love to help others because It makes me feel more humble, and I feel I'm closer to Jesus Christ. I love my family and part of my responsibilities as a mother is to teach my children the gospel of Jesus Christ. Family home evenings provides me and my husband a great opportunity to teach our children. Also the church has many programs for the youth, for the children and the adults. Participating in these programs is something that me and my family enjoy doing. We are living very tough times, and by having the knowledge that my Heavenly Father has a plan for me, and that I can go back to live with him one day, gives me the strength to continue my efforts to be good, to love others, to care for those in need, to be a better mother, to serve more diligently in the church and share the gospel with others. I strive to be a better person every day and be a good example for my children, my husband and those around me.
