Hi I'm Pat

I enjoy music and gardening and kids and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I've always been very close to my family although I was an only child. My extended family did lots of activities with me. I enjoyed going to school and college where I met my husband! I became an elementary school teacher for 30 years and especially enjoyed teaching kindergarten. Now I enjoy my 11 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. My husband and I have been married for 61 years and have loved every moment of our journey together. I aboslutely love doing genealogy and look forward to all of my family being together forever.

Why I am a Mormon

I was always searching for the true church. When we decided to take a family trip to Utah I wanted to swim in the Great Salt Lake and hear the Mormon Tabernacle Choir. After spending the whole day on temple square I began reading the Book of Mormon and knew there was some truth within its' pages. A few months later the missionaries knocked on our door, they taught us for about two to three months and challenged us for baptism. After praying about this, I received a witness that the gospel was true. I had a warm feeling in my heart and could see all our family together happily worshipping in the church. Soon after this our family was baptized. I know that this is the true church, that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, and that Joseph Smith was our first prophet. Thomas S. Monson is our prophet today and we receive revelation from Heavenly Father through Him.

How I live my faith

My husband and I love this gospel so much and are so grateful for the opportunity that we had to have the missionaries knock on our door. Ever since then we've loved missionary work. We've served a 12 month mission for the church in Florida and still enjoy being missionaries. The gospel is the most important part of our lives and we feel a need to share it with others.
