Hi I'm Christine

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hello, I am a single woman who has been a member for 32 years. I have not found the special person who I would like to share my life with. I graduated from The University of Texas in Austin with a BBA/Mkt and followed that up with an Executive MBA in Business Administration. I have my own business now after working in corporate America for 20 years. I am a professional organizer and Senior Care Manager. I have a special gift working with seniors as well as children. I achieved my goal of getting a black belt in Korean martial arts in 2004. I took me 4 years and only a couple of broken bones. I finally achieved my desire of learning spanish when I was called to serve a mission in the Dominican Republic for 18 months.

Why I am a Mormon

I am Mormon because when I heard the discussion about the Plan of Salvation everything told me that it was true. It was if someone had walked up to me and asked me if I knew if 2 + 2 = 4. I couldn't unring the bell. Although the lifestyle of being a Mormon was not what i was use to, I could not deny that the spirit was telling me that everything I heard was true. I was introduced to the missionaries on a Sunday and by the following Saturday I was in the waters of baptism. Although this is fast, I have never been one to back off from something I know to be true.

How I live my faith

I have had several callings over the years. My most challenging was Relief Society President of a Young Adult ward. Relief Society is a woman's organization that takes care of the physical, mental, spiritual and emotional needs of the woman in the church. I was in charge of young woman from ages 18-30. I learned that lives were put into my hands and if i was going to guide these young women to safety that I would have to be in tune with the spirit or I would fall. I am glad for the opportunity I had to serve them.

What blessings can you receive from reading the Book of Mormon, the Bible, and other scriptures?

By studying the scriptures, you become really aware of how histories of disobedience repeats itself over and over again. If we are not aware of times in the scriptures where the people stumbled and how they overcame, then how do we keep from repeating history. Show more Show less
