Hi I'm Robert

I grew up in San Antonio, TX. I love IT, playing video games, volleyball and hanging out with family. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in San Antonio, TX, where I still live today. Thanks to my techie dad, who spent his life in the electronics field, I spent most of my days watching TV, playing video games and getting into computer technology. I served a 2-year mission in Brazil teaching the gospel, and even helping them with their tech needs as well. I studied at Palo Alto College before transferring to Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. There I got my bachelor's degree in IT, and went to work for USAA. I still play video games, but I also enjoy spending my free time with my awesome wife Nancy and our 2 boys doing whatever they want to do!

Why I am a Mormon

It just feels right! I love the Lord's plan of happiness he has for us all! He has provided a way for us to return to him someday through Jesus Christ and be eternally sealed together as families as well. He empowers us to make choices that will help us draw closer to him, and the church always helps us in doing just that! I know this is the true church that has been restored in our times, and that God and Jesus Christ live and want what's best for us.

How I live my faith

I love serving in the church! The gospel is all about helping others out and overcoming our own shortcomings. Service does that beautifully! I'm currently serving as the ward clerk in our church, where I help others make sure everything is neatly organized and operating as it should be. I get to meet with lots of amazing people in our church and help coordinate in their organizations to make sure they are successful and meeting their organization's needs, including with our bishop. Within my family, we make sure that we have family home evening, that we pray and read scriptures often. Although it can be tough to do with our busy schedules, our goal is to constantly strengthen our family and faith, so we can be worthy to gain blessings from our Heavenly Father.
