Hi I'm Trey Workman

I'm a brother, friend, and son. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the oldest child in a family of six. I am preparing to serve a mission and am leaving here in a few days. I am excited to go share the Gospel. I know this church is true. I have a strong testimony of the power of the atonement and it brings me peace to know that if I am striving to be the best I can be and keep Gods commandments I can return to live with my Father in Heaven someday. I have faith that serving a mission is what Heavenly Father wants me to do. I have such a wonderful family who loves and cares for me and because of that I feel so blessed. I know that Joseph Smith restored the Gospel to this earth for these latter days. I am thankful for him and his example to me of listening to the Lord and enduring to the end. I am grateful for the peace that his Gospel brings to my heart when I am struggling to find joy. I know that my Redeemer lives.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I want to return to live with my Father in Heaven. I want to help people through service. I want to feel peace in my heart that comes from the teachings of the Gospel when I cannot find it anywhere else. I want to do what is right. I want to know that families are eternal and that I can live with mine forever. I don't profess to know all the answers or that I don't have questions. But I have faith that the Lord knows all and that I can trust Him with all my heart. That is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I live my faith through action. I have always striven to live the teachings of the Gospel in my day to day activities. I am currently about to leave my home for two years to serve a full time mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Honestly, I am nervous to leave, but I know it is where my Father in Heaven wants me to be. I want to go out and help people and bring others to Christ so that they can feel peace and be sealed with their families for eternity.

Do Mormons only help Mormons?

Trey Workman
No. In fact at our Church meetings, we are taught to love one another and that service is what gives us more blessings. But we aren't doing it just for the blessings. We believe, myself included, that service gives you a good feeling about who you are, and it does. Show more Show less
