Hi I'm Linda

I grew up in Ohio moved to AZ and now I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up on a farm in Ohio and have believed in the Lord Jesus Christ since I was a child. After high school I became a wife, nurse and then a mother. My children are grown and I have one granddaughter. I enjoy doing neuromuscular therapy to help friends and family and hiking.

Why I am a Mormon

Although I lived in a predominantly Mormon community for many years I was busy in other churches and never really knew anything about Mormanism. I had heard it was a cult so I avoided learing about it. Then a friend that was very ill started visiting with the missionaries. I watched as they prayed for him and cared for him and he got better. Then one day they offered me a Book of Morman and suggested I read it and if I wanted they could give me lessons also. To my suprise much of the Book of Morman answered some of the questions I had from the Bible and the Bible complemented and more clearly explained things I found in the Book of Morman. Then when I visited a service for the first time. I was so delighted how reverently they conducted communium. I began studing with the Missionaries and shortly after was baptised. I find such peace and comfort in keeping the commandments, much more so than when I practiced in other faiths even thoughh they believe the same commandments. As a Morman I have a much better understand of the atonement of Jesus Chrit. I'm ever so greatful to have found the truth of the restoration of the gospel and having living prophets on the earth.

How I live my faith

I am so greatful for the loving, caring nature of the Morman community. As a single adult it was difficult to feel useful or be feel cared for at prevous churches. Now, since becoming a Morman there are so many opportunites to serve and to be served and cared for. It is such a loving, caring giving and sharing environment. There are so many resources available through the church to help people learn and be successful in growing in the knowledge of Jesus Christ and to serve others in what ever way you can serve.
