Hi I'm Shelby

I am a full time college student. I work at a school for children with autism. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a senior in college studying Speech and Hearing science and working on applying to graduate schools. I spent a summer in Europe getting the travel bug and loving every second of it. I recently got married and we are both full time students.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a loving family that was actively members of the church. all through my childhood I was taught how to live right. I was baptized at age 8. When I was 14 I went to Especially For Youth (EFY) where I learned the importance of the Church of Jesus Christ and what it meant to have a testimony. I read the Book of Mormon and knew of its goodness. There is not a more comforting and guiding book in the world! I can testify of that. I also know that Joseph Smith translated the Book of Mormon and that we receive revelation today for ourselves and through the Prophets called of God.

How I live my faith

Through High School I always seemed to know what was right and wrong. It was very obvious to me. I had good friends and attended seminary because it was very uplifting. I knew the words taught were true and there was nothing I wanted more than to enter the Holy Temples worthy. When I turned 21 I married a righteous worthy man who I loved so much and he took me to the temple to be married for "time and all eternity." Now as we prepare for a family we know it is important to create good habits such as, going to church, having family night, reading our scriptures daily, going to ward activities, serving those around us, and much more.
