Hi I'm Julie

I grew up in the Puget Sound, I am a married mother of 5 and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a mother of 5 wonderful children and the wife to a very patient man! I was a young bride and had my family in my 20's. I love infants and toddlers as well as all children and find my greatest happiness in loving, nurturing and caring for them. I have a soft spot for the elderly and appreciate the frienships I have developed with my elderly friends. I love to clean, organize, write, read and dream. I love to sing and share my love of God through music. I have been working the past 3 years at trying to finish my Senior year of college, online, through Brigham Young University, it will probably be another 3 years but I WILL graduate!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because when it is all said and done if any religion has the fullness of the gospel, the complete truths and teachings of our Savior as he instructed, it is The Church Of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I KNOW the church is true. My parents are both "converts" to the church. My mom was taught the gospel when she was 11 and my dad was 18 when he was taught and was baptised. I grew up in a Mormon home but when I was a teeanager I decided that I wanted to know for myself if the church was true. I read the story of Joseph Smith, I read the Book of Mormon, and then I prayed. I didn't have to pray very hard because the overwhleming feeling I recieved was a peace and recognition that I had never before felt. The teachings of the church rang true in my heart. There are many good churches on the earth with people who live worthy and valiant lives. As I have studied other churches I have found that while they have pieces of truth and aspects of Christs church as it was when He lived on earth they don't have all the pieces. The "puzzle" is only fully formed with ALL of God's teachings and the Mormon church has all of the pieces. My membership in Christ's church brings me peace, insight, direction and joy. I am grateful that I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I currently teach the children music at church. Music has the special ability to bring the spirit of God's love and teach his message in a way that is enjoyable and peaceful and enriching. I share the musical talents God has given me with His children. I also serve sisters in my ward through a program called Visiting Teaching. I get to know two or three women in the church more closely as I serve them, teach them, and particpate in friendship nurturing experiences. I live my Faith by constantly trying to notice the needs of those around me. I serve in my community and in my neighborhood. Our family has "adopted" a city street that we keep clean. I help in my childrens classrooms. I smile and reach out to those in need. I try to live as Christ did.
