Hi I'm Adam

I'm a husband, Father and a Firefighter and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have 4 children. I enjoy time with my family. I enjoy camping and attending my kids games. I enjoy going on my weekly dates with my wife and strengthening my relationship with my eternal companion. I enjoy fixing things around the house and being a handyman. I enjoy being a Firefighter and a paramedic and serving the community I work for. I enjoy being on my departments Hazmat Team, TRT team and wildland firefighting team. I enjoy being a Fire pal for my department and going to the elementary schools and teaching the younger kids about fire and water safety and other ways to keep them safe.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. My Parents joined before I was born. When I turned 8 years old I was asked if I wanted to be baptized a member of the church like so many other 8 year olds. I chose to be baptized and have spent My life as a member of the church through different ups and downs in my life. I know I'm not perfect and make mistakes, but one thing I do know is that the Church and it's teaching are true and that the Gospel and it's teachings are perfect. I mean after all it's the Lord's church. Through different experiences in my life I have gained that testimony for myself, not because someone told me I had to believe it. That's one of the great things about the gospel is that no one is trying to make you believe what you are hearing. You are expected to read and pray and listen to the Holy Ghost and find out for yourself. It's the way I teach my own children. They have to find out for themselves if the gospel is True and that Jesus is there Savior. I know that Christ suffered and died for me. I know that he has been resurrected and he lives. I know that the Bible and the Book of Mormon are scripture. I know that we have a living prophet today that gives us instruction from our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ and that it's my responsibility to follow those teachings once I have felt the spirit testify of the truthfulness of them. No one can make me. I am responsible for my own actions not someone else. I only hope to live my life that one day I can receive the blessings of Heaven.

How I live my faith

I serve in the church in many different ways. I have several different assignments working with the young men in my building. I have responsibilities to teach and serve on Sundays. I am the Scoutmaster for our Ward. So every Wednesday I'm not on shift I attend Scout meetings and the occasional weekend outing. I have several families in the ward I live in that I visit once a month to share a message and assist them with anything I can to help them when needed. I volunteer for large youth activities that the church may need help staffing, to set up, help cook, take down or just be there as medical staff in case someone gets injured. I enjoy serving the youth. It's worth it. They are the future.
