Hi I'm Sister Eyden

I'm a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Santa Rosa, California

About Me

I'm currently a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Before my mission my hobbies included dancing, collecting vinyl records and attending concerts. Now my full-time job is teaching people about Jesus Christ and spreading His restored Gospel in the Santa Rosa, California mission! I never thought that the Lord would call me on a mission, but I'm so glad He did! I love being able to spread joy and plant seeds of faith in the hearts of those I come in contact with every day.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I love the Savior, Jesus Christ, and I want to be like Him. Being a Mormon has helped me understand Heavenly Father's plan of happiness, which allows us to be with our families forever. I want to be sealed to my family in the temple, and I know the only way I can do that is by the Priesthood Authority that Heavenly Father restored to the Earth through Joseph Smith. I love this gospel. It has brought me so much peace and not just happiness, but true joy. Living the gospel of Jesus Christ doesn't make trials go away- Heavenly Father isn't a problem-fixer. He loves us, but He wants us to use our agency to ask Him for help, and try to get through things with Him. I have felt His hand guiding me in every aspect of my life, no matter what I was going through at the time. He loves me. He loves all of us and knows us specifically. He knows our name. He knows what we need. This knowledge is something I would never trade or give up, not for anything.

How I live my faith

I live my faith one day at a time. As a missionary I have the unique opportunity to be a servant of Jesus Christ, and to literally wear His name over my heart. As a young adult, there are a ton of other things I could be doing. I could go to school, pursue a career, develop a skill or get married, but I've chosen to live my faith by serving the Lord in the best way I know how- as a full-time missionary. I'm one of 88,000 missionaries currently serving around the world and I feel so blessed to be a part of this work that Heavenly Father has saved for this time.
