Do you want to chat with a missionary?

We are happy to answer any questions you may have.

Hi I'm Lisa, or Sister Happy

On my mission I was known as, "Sister Happy" I love to laugh. I was born in Mississippi. I now live in Washington and I love it.

About Me

I was 27 when I met my husband. I lived in Idaho and he lived in Washington. He was a divorced dad of 3. I was teaching Seminary and a Resource Room Asst. at a Middle School. He was a Chiropractor in Spokane, Washington. We dated for the entire school year and traveled over 25,000 miles in our courtship. Between Spokane, Kooskia, and Boise Idaho. We were married in the Spokane, Temple. I have always dreamed of having lots of kids. I became an instant mom of 3, ages 10, 6, and 5. We added another child to our family. In 2006 the 3 kids and their mom moved from Boise, Idaho to Coeur' d Alene Idaho. We have enjoyed having them close by and being involved in their activities. I enjoy being a mom, working in my husband's chiropractic business, trying new recipes, exercising, music, sewing, playing the piano, thinking of fun and exciting new ideas.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know it is true. I had the wonderful opportunity to serve a mission for the Church in the California Los Angeles Mission. Where at the time the restored gospel was taught in 14 different Languages. I had a wonderful time of being with many people not from our country and to get to know many, wonderful cultures and different things and ways that people celebrate events such as holidays and birthdays. I saw people change their lives and to come to know our Lord and Savior on a real and a personal basis. I came to know the Savior on a personal level and I came to understand people in ways that I never have before. I know that the only way to get through this life and into the next is through the Savior Jesus Christ and our relationship with him and our family is the most important thing we have in this life.

How I live my faith

I like to be involved in the community, I help many different churches organize and do different Food & Clothing Banks. I enjoy helping with the Cub Scouts, and go on their outings. I enjoy to give community service. I help out in my Children's schools by going into their class rooms and going on field trips and activities. I enjoy watching children for others so that they can go and do something for themselves or they can go out with their husbands on a date night. I visit those who are sick and in need and I love to make them special homemade gifts.

Who is the Mormon prophet today?

Lisa, or Sister Happy
President Thomas Spencer Monson. We refer to him as President out of respect and I have always loved him since I was a small child, he has spoken to me. He has a very happy countenance and he has a love of poetry much like myself. I love when he quotes a poem I can quote it right along with him. Show more Show less
