Hi I'm Sabrina

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have lived in Alabama all my life, and I love the South. I am married to a wonderful man who is also LDS, and we have two children together. I have a degree in business, but am currently a stay at home mom.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up Protestant, Baptist to be exact. I confessed and was baptized by my preacher when I was 12, but I always felt that there was something missing in my faith. I thought that there must be something wrong with me, since I didn't understand or agree with Baptist Doctrine. Through a friend, at age 21, I discovered the LDS Church and the Book of Mormon. I earnestly prayed to Father to know if what I was learning was true. His straight and direct answer told me YES. It was as if a light had suddenly clicked on in my life. This was His true church, the way it should be. When I was baptized into the LDS church, I again received the same confirmation. I know that this church is true, and through following Christ and the doctrines he has set for us, that I can one day return to live with Father in His kingdom, forever.

How I live my faith

I try to speak with friends and family about the Gospel and how it has improved my life. I love to attend weekly Sacrament meeting and to learn more about how to follow the Gospel and the prophets, and how the Scriptures can help guide us.

Can a husband and wife be together forever? Do Mormons believe that families will live together in heaven?

Sabrina
Yes! We believe that families can be forever. By being married in the temple, you are 'sealed' to your spouse and future family for time AND eternity. What a wonderful thing to know that I can be with my family in the next life as well as this one. This is one of the greatest gifts that Father has given us, and why family is so important to our way of life. Show more Show less

How are modesty and chastity related? How can parents teach their children to be modest in dress, language and behavior?

Sabrina
Being modest in dress helps to not tempt anyone to be unchaste. Intimacy is only intended to be between husband and wife in a marriage. Also, as a woman, being modest helps me show the world that I am deserving of respect as a lady and daughter of our Heavenly Father. Being modest also sets an example to your children of how they should dress and behave. By teaching your children what the Scriptures teach about modesty, you are setting them up to make successful choices when faced with issues regarding modesty and chastity in their future.
