Hi I'm Paige

I'm a full-time missionary serving in the Washington Yakima Mission. I love sports, photography, and traveling. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a born and raised Arizona native. I was born into a family of boys, so naturally I love competition and sports. In high school I played volleyball, basketball, and softball and I was involved in many clubs and activities. Being busy keeps me happy and feeling productive. Last year I attended Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University where I studied Global Security & Intelligence. My loves in life are my family, sports, photography, traveling, good food, and reading. In August 2015 I decided to take a break from my studies to devote the next 18 months of my life to serving a full-time church mission. I was called to serve in the Washington Yakima Mission. God has blessed me with so much in my life, and serving a mission is my way of thanking Him.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a born and raised member of the Church, but the testimony that I have gained over the years of its truthfulness has been gradual and very real. I've come to know that you can't know something's true unless you try it out for yourself, and by living the way that the scriptures and prophets teach, I have felt a confirmation from the Holy Ghost that the things that are taught are true. Reading from the scriptures daily and praying to my Heavenly Father have allowed me to develop a close relationship with Him. Doing this has made me more aware of His hand in my life and more understanding of His character, which is that He is my Father and knows me better than anyone else. He loves me and wants me to become the best I can be. My testimony of the gospel has also helped me to have direction, confidence, and self-worth. There's a lot of terrible things happening in the world, but to know that I am a daughter of God, who lives and loves me, and who wants me to succeed, brings me so much peace and comfort. It makes me sad that there are so many people in the world who don't have this knowledge. I know that we can only find true happiness through the true gospel of Jesus Christ, and that is the central reason that I'm a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by following the teachings and commandments that we've been given through scriptures and prophets. This means that I have to do more than just go to church on Sundays. I do my best to constantly remember who I am and what I stand for. I do this by praying in the morning when I wake up, at night when I go to bed, and keep a prayer in my heart throughout the day. I also read the scriptures daily. I try to live my life with high standards in a way that is closely aligned with the Savior's. If there's something I think that he wouldn't do, then I try not to do it myself. I work hard to make sure that I'm kind to everyone I meet and look for ways to serve others. Doing these things all the time are really important because a person can only gain faith about the Church by living its teachings. The ultimate goal is to become more like Jesus Christ, and we can only do that through service and righteousness. One important thing to remember is that everybody makes mistakes and sins in this life, but we can ALWAYS repent and get back on the right path. I know I'm not perfect, but I try my best and I know that that's all God expects of us.
