Hi I'm Judi

"I grew up in Las Vegas, Nevada. I'm a wife and mother of 5 children and I am a convert. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to laugh, read, garden, learn but most of all I love my Family! I AM A MORMON

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Convert to the Church in Las Vegas, Nevada in the late 1960's. Most of my friends were LDS and were great examples. They told me about the Church and it went straight to my heart. I read everything I could get my hands on even some anti-Mormon pamphlets giving by other friends and family members. I prayed and read and attended some meetings and felt my spirit enlarging with the knowledge that it was all true. My parents were not keen on my joining but were supportive of my decision. I married a young Mormon man and joined shortly after our marriage. Being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has been like the poem about the two paths diverging into the woods and that in taking this one has made all the difference in my and my family’s life, forever!

How I live my faith

I have been blessed to be an active participant in the Church since my baptism. It is so true that every member has opportunities, at one time or another, to lead, follow, support and be supported in callings in the Church. I have taught in every venue, from little children to youth and now, adults. I currently teach the Gospel Doctrine class, with in depth study of the life and doctrines of our Savior Jesus Christ found in the Bible and Book of Mormon. The more I study the more my heart swells with the joy the gospel brings and the strength the scriptures give us to meet anything life can throw at us.

How can I know Mormonism is true?

First of all, it isn't Mormonism, that's only a nick name given to us by the world because of the Book of Mormon. What is it really? It's the Gospel of Jesus Christ, the Savior and Redeemer of the World. I think it fitting that the Savior's own brother helped to answer this question by stating "If any of you lack wisdom, let his ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed." James 1-5-6. So we can know by going to God in sincere prayer asking if what you are learning is true. This is just the beginning. As you feel the sweet peace of knowing truth. You must stand firm in that knowledge and continue to search the scriptures and pray about any other question you have. God loves you and wants you to feel the peace, hope and comfort of knowing the truth. All truth comes from God Show more Show less
