Hi I'm Kimberlee

I strive to live by the words of the Savior to "be of good cheer."

About Me

Right now, I am serving as a MISSIONARY!!! That's right. In this time of my life, it is my responsibility to help others come closer to Christ. I feel like Isaiah described it well, "The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me; because the Lord hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek" (Isaiah 61:1). And yes, I do love it! I love my mission because it's mine, not because I'm doing what anyone else wants me to, not because I want to set the best example I can for anyone else, but because I need my mission. The Lord knows that, and that is why He called me to go.

Why I am a Mormon

... They always ask "why." It is because I decided to be. Even though I grew up in my faith, there was that point where I had to make a decision, and I have found that that decision is a constant process. That's why we are constantly encouraged to share our testimonies and do those "small and simple things" that Alma talks about. There is no standing still with the Lord. If you are not as close to the Lord today as you were yesterday, make no mistake as to who has moved.

How I live my faith

I suppose that how I live my faith right now is all based on my mission. It was not something that I always have wanted to do, but now that I am here experiencing what it feels like to teach others about what makes my life happy, I never want to go back! Some days are harder than others, but that is why my time and my life right now is more rewarding than it has ever been.

What do Mormons believe concerning the doctrine of grace?

The Book of Mormon teaches us that "it is by grace that we are saved, after all we can do" (2 Nephi 25:23). As a missionary in the southern states, there are so many people who talk a LOT about the grace of God. There are many who believe that all you need to do to be saved is simply believe in God, and His grace will do the rest. However, even the Savior taught: "Not everyone that saith Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in Heaven" (Matt 7:21). In order for us to truly accept Christ and truly believe Him, we must act upon our faith; and faith, dear friends, is an action word! Show more Show less
