Hi I'm Sarah

I am an athlete. I am a friend. I am a freshman in High School and loving it. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have some tough older brothers who told me that sports was everything. So being a little kid who didnt know much, I thought it was true. So i absoultley love playing Volleyball and Basketball. I used to do ballet and soccer. Im also super involved with hanging out with my best friends. I am a teenage girl ;) I also go to my church youth groupm, spend time with my family. Music is my life!!! I wish i had some musical talent myself but I dont. I do carry around my Ipod all the time though. Finding clean and popular music is sometimes difficult but I manage. Taylor Swift is my favorite musician probably in the history of the universe. Im a pretty good student except for Spanish. but Im trying to improve all of my talents.

Why I am a Mormon

So I just started High School and it is such a different envirment. I went to a K-8 school so I've practically been in the same school my entire life. It was quite a transition. Now EVERYBODY wears short shorts and there is fowl language all over the place. Its hard to have high standards when the world is just crashing down on you. But I see how important it is too. Like, I dont have to think if a guy is looking at me like I'm that type of person. And bad words never improved anything. Without the Church, I would be like everybody else. No one wants to be like that. I might be "weird" for sticking to what I believe is right but I never have to worry about if I'm pushing the border line too far or that people think that I'm degrading myself. I want people to look at me and see not the world, but the light of Christ. And the moral values of being a Mormon has taught me to look at myself with respect.

How I live my faith

Reading the Book of Mormon and the Bible and praying. Going to my church youth group and performing service projects. :) We also have a family night almost every monday night and I go to my church for 3 hours every Sunday. Some people think that its crazy but it's important to me to understand that everything is created by God and that everything we do wrong can be forgiven. Nobody is perfect so I think it's important to learn how to be whole and clean.

What is a “testimony” that Mormons speak of?

A testimony is a knowledge, not just thinking, of the truth and love of God and his Son Jesus Christ. We believe and have faith that through him, this life is only a test and we can live with God in his Kingdom Show more Show less
