Hi I'm Ashley Wright

I'm a recent college graduate, new mama, diet coke lover, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I graduated from college with a Bachelor's degree in Child Development this past April (2013). I married my best friend Drew on August 19th 2011 and we have a little girl who was born two days after our first anniversary. My husband is a teacher and I stay at home with our daughter. I enjoy baking, blogging, taking pictures, playing the piano and singing. I love spending time with my little family! They bring me so much happiness!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it makes me feel good. In the church we are taught to make friends with everybody and be kind to people. We are taught to love one another as Jesus loves us. I love being a part of something that teaches love and compassion. We are taught that God and Jesus Christ love and know us personally. Because of that God sent Jesus Christ to be our Savior and Redeemer. Jesus Christ atoned for our sins. When we make mistakes we can be forgiven. When we feel sad and lonely, afraid or angry we can turn to Jesus Christ because he knows what we are feeling. He can lift our burdens and comfort us when we feel sorrow and sadness. This has been the biggest strength in my life, knowing that I can get through anything with the help of my Savior Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by attending church every Sunday. While at church, I take care of children ages 1-3 while their parents attend other meetings. I love it! I also live my faith by befriending and visiting other women in my neighborhood and I try to consistently read the Bible and the Book of Mormon. I know I'm not prefect, but I am continually trying to better myself.
