Do you want to chat with a missionary?

We are happy to answer any questions you may have.

Hi I'm Cowan Brady

I am 19 years old. I love my family, friends, girlfriend, and music. I'm serving a mission, and I'm Mormon.

About Me

I love to spend time with friends, and have fun, but be safe. I like to have goals so I'm always shooting for something. I love listening to music of any kind. I'm currently serving a mission in McAllen Texas and I'm learning Spanish. I love to play soccer, and I love watching the world cup. I love making other people happy, and helping other people out. I'm 19 years old, and I have 6 sisters. I'm the first one in my family to serve a mission.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the Mormon church with my family, but when I turned 12, I made the choice for myself. I have experienced missionaries in my home many times, and even family friends taking discussions. I have gained a testimony from a program called EFY. It was a weeklong program that helped me to read my scriptures, and get the full meaning out of this doctrine. I plan to go on a mission to serve others in need, and to let other people feel that same feeling that I have felt.

How I live my faith

Every week, the youth in my ward have activities planned by either the young men or the young women. We participate in athletic activities, spiritual, or even planning activities. I believe these activities were organized for the youth to bond together as sons and daughters of God. Every Sunday, I attend, along with all members of our ward, a three hour church session. We are taught many lessons that make us stronger as people, and obedient in our church callings. My ward makes me feel welcome, and invites the Spirit, and I am glad to be in a wonderful ward. There's a warming spirit in this church of ours that keeps you wanting to come back.

How can we come to know our Father in Heaven?

Cowan Brady
How can we know our Father in Heaven? It's a really simple question indeed. We talk to him through prayer. If we want to talk to him, all we have to do is kneel down in prayer. We do this by the faith we have. Prayer is something that can take time. Our relationship with Heavenly Father is alike unto other relationships that we have. It starts off somethings small, and builds into a stronger foundation. Daily prayer is the key success to building a relationship with our heavenly father, and getting to know him. Show more Show less
