Hi I'm Linzie
I'm a mother of 3 busy kids, I own a little online shop for girls accessories and live in Texas, for now. I'm a Mormon.
I'm a mother of 3 beautiful children and the wife to an amazing man. Our youngest child was born with a rare condition called cloacle exstrophy. He was given a 5% chance of survival and we didn't know if he would be able to walk or not. He is now almost 3 and runs, climbs, and jumps! He still has more operations to endure, and a long road ahead of him, but we would all be lost without him in our lives. I am from Utah but we moved to Virginia so that my husband could complete medical school. I loved it there and miss it so much. We are now living in Southern Texas finishing up the long road of education my husband started us on. The kids are growing to love Texas as they make new friends. I own a little online shop for girls accessories to keep my creative side satisfied! I love it, especially when my daughter comes in and pulls up a chair to help. I love the out doors, as long as the sun is shining! I could sit on the beach in the sun listening to the noise around me all day. I used to compete in outdoor volleyball and miss playing on a regular basis, I'm hoping to start up again one of these days. I'm a movie lover, especially if I get to watch them with my kids because I'm guaranteed some cuddle time. One thing that I want to do is learn how to play the piano. I know it might sound lame, but I can't wait till I have the opportunity.
I was born into the church, but fell away in my teen years. In spite of choices I was making, the spirit was always in my heart. I came back before I was married as I felt this longing for that closeness to my Father in Heaven. I have read the scriptures and prayed and my heart was so full that there was no way I could deny it. I love the teachings and the values they have. In a world such as today it is nice to know who you are and where you stand. I know I can get through anything as long as I have the Lord on my side. I see my children loving primary and learning so many things. I love to take my daughter shopping and watch her pick out modest clothes. I don't think they have to cover down to the ankles and wrists, but just above the knee for shorts and short sleeves for tops. I love that we can be a family forever, that we will be together after this life is such an amazing thing. When I had my last son he was in the N.I.C.U. for just over 3 months and we did not have any family by at the time. I couldn't have gotten through that without my Heavenly Father and the support of our ward. We are all each others family and are there in good and in bad.
I teach relief society every 4th Sunday and I'll be honest, this calling was for me. I have grown leaps and bounds through this calling. I also get to visit teach 3 amazing sister who are also friends. Serving in the Church fills my heart and keeps me going. I don't know anyone who feels bad after they have selflessly served others. I have also been a primary teacher and absolutely loved that calling! Watching the little kids learn about the teaching of Jesus Christ and watching their love for the Savior grow is amazing.
