Hi I'm Emily

I love photography and history. I'm a student, a dreamer and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm the eldest in my family and sometimes I love it! My family is super important to me and I love spending time with them. I spend my time in school and am super excited for college in the fall. Though I'm still trying to figure out my life, I know I want to help people. Photography is my hobby and someday I want to be able to use it to better the world around me.

Why I am a Mormon

The short answer is that I'm Mormon because I was born into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, but there is so much more to that answer. I was baptized when I turned eight, but didn't realize how much I had been given. As I've grown and gone through middle and high school I've realized just how lucky I am, and I've come to love being Mormon. Test and Trials happen everyday and through them I have grown to understand who I am. I know that I am a daughter of God and that He wants me to succeed. I know He wants me to be able to return and live with Him someday. I know that everything will be worth it one day and that if we follow the guidelines given to us, we will come out conquerors.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by first and foremost trying to live by the example of Jesus Christ. Even if people don't know me, I want them to be able to tell that there is something different about me. I also live my faith by attending my church meetings weekly. I attend seminary (a sunday school type class for the youth before school) and have enjoyed studying the New Testament, Book of Mormon, Doctrine and Covenants and the Old Testament. I also participate in my weekly youth group. I've participated in Personal Progress, which is a goal based program that helps young women ages 12-18 establish a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, and recently earned my Personal Progress completion award, which has been a great blessing in my life. I also pray and study my scriptures daily.
