Hi I'm Marty

I'm a retired professor of biology and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a veteran, a grandfather, a student and collector of insects, spiders and scorpions and I'm a scientist. I have discovered numerous new species and have several named after me.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because, in my continuing search for truth and knowledge, I find the teachings of the LDS Church in harmony with all that I have learned of history, of science and of human society. The study of the principles of the gospel of Jesus Christ as presented in scripture and by prophets past and present rings true to my mind and brings peace to my soul

How I live my faith

Presently, I serve part time as an english speaking, world wide family history suport missionary in the Family and Church History department of the church. I also serve locally as a family history consultant and teach classes in family history.
