Hi I'm Susan DiPietro

I'm a graphic designer with an eye for color. I see beauty everywhere. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

MY INSPIRATION: Innovative design, art, creativity, minimalism, order and all things hip THE FUN STUFF: Dinner & movies every Friday night, making things, visiting my fantastic kids (and grandkids!), going for walks and maybe a little snowshoeing in the winter FAVORITES: Cool packaging, red lipstick, a fridge full of colorful produce, knitting, downtown Seattle, the coast and last but not least, going to church! MY AH-HA MOMENT: Realizing that I have so much to be grateful for. Whenever I get down, I tell myself to stop whining and look at all the good things in my life!

Why I am a Mormon

I believe that God answers prayers. More than 50 years ago American missionaries stopped on a quiet road in an English suburb and asked for divine help finding someone who would be receptive to their message. About that time, my mother was looking out the window of our home and saw two young men in suits turn the corner onto our street and make a beeline for our house looking neither to the right nor to the left. The young missionaries later revealed that the path was made clear to them, and when they arrived at our home, one said to the other, "This is the place." From them I learned about Jesus and will always be grateful for their message of love and hope.

How I live my faith

I teach the adult Sunday School class - it was a shock to be asked, but hey, stranger things have happened. I prepare a lot and always ask for the Spirit of the Lord to be with me. It turns out that I love teaching! I work two jobs so don't have a lot of free time for service, but do look out for my ex mother-in-law who needs ongoing support with rides to the store, etc.

Why is it important for us to take care of our bodies? Why are our bodies called temples of God in the Bible?

Susan DiPietro
Our bodies house our spirits, right? So I for one don't want to house my spirit in a shack or a run-down building. A sacred, undefiled temple sounds like a wonderful, peaceful place to hang out. The challenge is to house our spirits in a body undefiled with drugs, unhealthy food and unseemly behavior. Show more Show less
